Your Benefits Advocate - Who We Are

Susan Loeb founded Your Benefits Advocate in June 2006 to help people access and manage their medical and disability benefits.

Susan has years of experience in benefits and knows how to navigate the complicated and puzzling medical and disability world with ease.

As an attorney she spent 10 years as an associate and partner in private legal practice in Chicago representing employers in all aspects of employee benefits (ERISA). She can speak the legal and industry jargon and her credentials help level the playing field with insurance companies, doctors and hospitals.

She left the practice of law in 1993 due to the joys and demands of raising triplets. For nearly 10 years she worked at the University of Chicago as a counselor and then manager of benefits counseling services for more than 8,000 employees and retirees. Faculty and staff routinely sought her out for advice about their coverage and for her expertise and persistence in getting their benefit problems fixed.

Susan lives in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago with her husband, Larry Stanton, and their three teenage children.
